Bricks for LHS

The Lakeside High School Foundation, Inc. is proud to sponsor a $1,000 scholarship. Funds for this scholarship are maintained by the Foundation and have been made possible by the generosity of our donors. The scholarship recipient will be notified after May 21, 2012

The Lakeside High School Foundation is providing a scholarship in recognition of excellence in Academics, the Arts and Athletics at Lakeside High School. The Foundation made the decision to merge the original three scholarships into one, giving recognition to students who have excelled in all areas at Lakeside.

This scholarship is open to all Lakeside High School seniors who can demonstrate:

· Overall academic excellence; maintaining a 3.0 GPA, unweighted on a 4.0 scale;
· Involvement in the arts and/or athletics;
· Commitment to community service organizations and projects;
· Leadership within the school and community;
· Active membership in school clubs and organizations;
· Enrollment in an accredited college, university in fall 2012.

The Foundation Scholarship Review Committee does not accept or consider any incomplete or late submissions. Applicants are held responsible for ensuring all paperwork is received by the Review Committee, including letters of recommendation, transcript, and all application documents by the deadline. It is highly recommended that you start on this application process at the earliest date possible. Do not wait until the deadline date.

If you experience any difficulty in electronically transmitting the documents, hard copies of the documents will be accepted, but it is the Applicant's responsibility to contact the Review Committee Administrator to receive instructions on this procedure. This must be done before the deadline.

The scholarship recipient will be notified by mail after May 21, 2012 and will have their name listed in the 2012 Lakeside High School Graduation Program.
